Golfers asked to celebrate inspiring women on International Women’s Day

Elisa Gaudet, the founder of Women’s Golf Day, is encouraging golfers to celebrate International Women’s Day, which takes place on March 8, by posting a photo on social media of a golf ball marked with the name of a woman that inspires them.

Gaudet said: “We love the idea of honouring women and this simple and fun social media engagement is in line with our #WGDunites principles to create opportunity and unity. We’re encouraging our network of partners and ambassadors around the world to join in and come together as a community to celebrate women and shine a light on golf and the diversity and unity it represents.”

To take part, golfers should write the name of the woman or women on a golf ball and post a photo to their social media channels on March 8 using the hashtags #WGDunites, #WomensGolfDay, #IWD2021. Women’s Golf Day will share some of the best ones from around the world throughout the day.
