Curtis Cup to be shown live on Sky

Live TV coverage of this week’s 41st Curtis Cup is to be made available to Sky Sports subscribers , as well as via The R&A’s free-to-view YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as RandA.org.

Fans will be able to watch all the action from the matches which take place Conwy Golf Club in Wales from August 26-28. The commentary team will be led by Dougie Donnelly, Richard Kauffman, Beth Allen. They will be joined on the course by Sophie Walker and George Harper Jnr.

This year we have pursued the opportunity to live broadcast our amateur championships with great success. It is important that we continue to expose new audiences to golf in an innovate and modern way to help grow the sport.”The biennial encounter, originally scheduled for 2020 and postponed due to Covid-19, is being played at Conwy for the first time, with the match last played in Wales in 1980. GB&I will be bidding to win back the historic trophy after losing to the US at Quaker Ridge in 2018.The GB&I team is captained by Elaine Ratcliffe and features Women’s Amateur Champion Louise Duncan, R&A Girls’ Amateur Champion Hannah Darling, 2019 Women’s Amateur Champion Emily Toy, Annabell Fuller, Charlotte Heath, Caley McGinty, Lauren Walsh and Annabel Wilson.

The USA team is captained by Sarah Ingram and features the top two players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Rose Zhang and Rachel Heck, as well as Alllisen Corpuz, Jensen Castle, Gina Kim, Rachel Kuehn, Brooke Matthews and Emilia Migliaccio.
