CodeChoas shoes are 100% waterproof courtesy of a fine film that wraps around the mesh uppers, which makes the shoe light, flexible and breathable. The film also prevents the uppers from staining, so these will look as a good as new even after extended wear. Full-length Boost cushioning features across the entire midsole, creating energy rebound, while the rubber element of the sole wraps over from the outsole in three key areas to limits the Boost’s expansion for added support. The Twist grip outsole features a TPU insert with special lugs that vary in height and angles for maximum grip. The new Stratos shoe boasts an all-new cushioning material called StratoFoam which absorbs shock for maximum cushioning and energy return, and provides optimal support while swinging and walking. The uppers are made from soft NappaLuxe leather supplied by Pittards, utilising a proprietary tanning process to achieve a luxurious, supple feel. They feature an integrated tongue and a reinforced heel for greater stability, while a new sole design features a channelled tread pattern that stops mud gathering, but also features multi-directional nubs for added grip. The outsole also features different hardness of materials to enhance grip any surface – a harder TPU for on-course grip and a softer TPU for traction on firmer surfaces. Offered in four colours for men (white, grey, navy and cognac) and two for women (blue/green or silver).

The Golf Street 10, which celebrates a decade since Fred Couples wore the first pair at the Masters, boasts an all-new midsole material called Pu Phorene, which increases the shoe’s shock absorption and rebound properties. A micro-perforated leather lining and leather-lined inlay soles offer moisture management properties, while the uppers are made from a pebbled nappa leather with an aniline finish for a luxury, soft touch. The leather is treated with Ecco’s water-repellent Hydromax finish, which adds durability and strength, keeping feet dry with enhanced breathability.

Updated for 2020, the latest Pro SL model features an all-new outsole, which provides 189 points of traction to improve contact with the ground, while an 11.5% per cent wider heel and increased forefoot stability provides a more solid platform throughout the swing. A dual-density foam midsole enhances stability and comfort, with a firmer area around the edge for support, and a softer foam under the foot for maximum cushioning. The uppers are made from ChromoSkin waterproof leather. It is available in four laced styles and one BOA closure (£169.99) and for custom options on the MyJoys website.

The Wave Cadence is a lightweight shoe built for enhanced comfort. This comes courtesy of a new one-piece ‘booty’ structure in which the tongue is connected to the lining to provide a more comfortable fit. Based on Mizuno’s Wave Platform technology, the Wave Cadence Spikeless blends the comfort and support of a high-end running shoe, with the lateral stability and traction needed for golf. It also boasts a sole made from carbon rubber, an extremely durable compound used in high impact areas extends the life of the shoe. The soft-touch Kuraray upper is breathable and waterproof to 20,000mm and comes with a two-year waterproof warranty.
PUMA IGNITE NXT SOLELACE £109
The NXT Solelace features a micro-thin TPU frame around the midsole that enables the laces to completely envelop the foot, pulling the midsole and outsole of the shoe, rather than the laces simply tightening the upper around the top of foot. A heel cage keeps the foot supported and stable while swinging and walking, while a moulded foam midsole makes them comfortable to wear all day. The fabric mesh upper features a breathable waterproof coating that protects against dirt and grime. The spikeless outsole features over 100 hexagonal lugs to provide traction where it is needed most. Pull tabs on the tongue and heel help with getting the shoes on. The uppers are seam-sealed and completely waterproof, with microfibre leather and TPU skin that delivers protection from the elements.
