VARNER JOINS CALLAWAY TOUR STAFF

PGA Tour player Harold Varner III has joined Callaway Golf’s Tour Staff. The 28-year-old from North Carolina will play Callaway woods, an Odyssey putter, and he will use a Callaway staff bag.

“I’m coming to Callaway because the performance is absolutely the best,” Varner said. “They really set the standard when it comes to drivers and putters, and I’ve had a great experience so far working with their Tour Team to get my clubs dialed in. The technology that they put into their equipment is unbelievable, and I’m excited to see what we can do for the rest of the year, and going forward.”

Varner, who made his official Callaway tournament debut at last week’s Memorial Tournament, is in his fourth year on the PGA Tour. He has so far enjoyed seven top-25 finishes this year, and went out in the final group alongside Brooks Koepka in last month’s US PGA Championship at Bethpage Black, where he eventually finished in a tie for 36th.
Varner, who averages 302.8 yards off the tee, earned his first professional win in 2016 at the Australian PGA Championship.

Lead by the performance of its Epic Flash Driver, Callaway continues to be the no.1 drive brand in worldwide usage and wins across the major tours in 2019. Odyssey is the leading putter brand in worldwide tour usage, recording over 600 wins across since 2010.
