FRANKISH EARNS LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR CARD

Kent professional Cloe Frankish is celebrating after becoming one of five players to earn promotion from the 2018 LET Access Series to the 2019 Ladies European Tour.

The 19-year-old from Maidstone secured the vital fifth place in the season’s order of merit, finishing behind Elia Folch, Sanna Nuutinen, Emie Peronnin and Fanny Cnops, to earn her place on the top women’s tour in Europe.

Frankish, who is attached to Chart Hills Golf Club, enjoyed a consistent season in 2018, bagging three top-fives, with a season-best tie for fourth in the Santander Golf Tour LETAS El Prat.

I’ve had three tops fives and several top tens, including my last event, where I came fourth, in Spain. This means such a lot to me to keep my card for next year through the Access Series. It’s been a pleasure to play.”

She added: “I have found the whole experience of playing the Access Series really good – everyone is very friendly and welcoming. It’s a great starting place for your journey as a professional; the staff and organisers do a great job with a full schedule for the players.”

In addition to the five players on the Access Series Order of Merit earning their Tour cards, a further 15 LETAS players also progressed to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School, which takes place over the Amelkis Golf Course in Marrakech, Morocco from December 16-20.
