JONAS BLIXT SIGNS WITH J.LINDEBERG
PGA Tour player Jonas Blixt has joined sport-fashion brand J.Lindeberg as a brand ambassador and will be wearing the company’s clothing on tour.
The 33-year-old Swede, who is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour, competed for the first time as a J.Lindeberg ambassador in the season-opening Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui last week, where he finished 31st.
Blixt will wear J.Lindeberg apparel on the golf course exclusively – and will also wear JL fashion and active collections off course. Additionally, he will also bring to bear his years of expertise as a Tour player, in contributing to product development within the golf collection.
Blixt said: “I am really looking forward to the partnership with J.Lindeberg. I like the clothes first and foremost, both on and off course. Representing a Swedish brand on the PGA tour will make me stick out from the rest – especially in the US – that will be fun.”
J.Lindeberg CEO Johan Mark said: “We are proud to sign a top Swedish athlete on the PGA Tour to Team JL. Jonas is a perfect match for us as a brand with his adventurous personality and living the lifestyle we represent.”
Blixt, who lives in Florida, turned pro on 2008, and has so far registered wins at the Frys.com in 2012, the Greenbrier Classic in 2013, and last year’s Zurich Classic, where he teamed up with Cameron Smith to take the title in the two-man tournament. He finished the 2017 season ranked 82nd in the FedExCup and currently boasts career earnings of close to $9m.
